traveling shoes

ahhh tomorrow is the day where i get on the plane and travel to ohio!! i'm looking forward to the break and to go back:) nothing changes there. i think in the past 10 years, the biggest thing that has happened is they built a super walmart.

but although its a slower paced area.. i do enjoy it. i wouldn't mind living back up there again. i know eventually i'm going to move. i could stand the heat of florida to be with my family.. but my bf isn't diggin the area.. and i say that i can't live with someone who hates where they are.. so.. we may move up north. hopefully to ohio so if i can't be with my loved ones here, i can be with them up there :D

so needless to say, with me going on vacation, i don't think i will be updating the blog.. you know.. for the two people that read this thing. haha.

random topic

a conversation this weekend with my friend has got me re-thinking about something that occasionally pops in my head. the question of 'how do people view you?' don't mistake this with caring what people think about you. do you ever wonder who people view you? what type of 'vibes' do you seemingly give off to people.

i do find myself curious and amused by opinions gathered of me by people before they meet me.. or their assumtions/perceptions of me, with out knowing me. i've gotten opinions ranging from bitch to druggie.. strong and opinionated... to mentally unstable and a push-over.

all so different and amazing that i in some way have put off all of these different vibes to people. makes me wonder if i'm really all of those different parts into one.. or do the people gathering those thoughts just don't get it.

i'm really a cheap skate, homebody that over thinks things way too much.

oh, i got my hair done. i know you can't really tell, but its much shorter. now.. i can no longer put it up in a ponytail.

weekend planner

plans for the weekend... welp, tonight i'm hoping to run up to the tattoo shop and switch out my bulky hoops back for studds. i really liked having the ones studd and when i got my other side pierced, my plan was to have the two studs, but for healing purposes the hoops are better :)

tomorrow i'm getting my hair re-dyed. same color (hot hot pink). whenever i have a hair date scheduled, i stop touching up my own hair. so for the past month or so i've let it fade so insanely bad.. and my roots are horriffic!! then after i get all that jazz taken care of, later than night i am planning to hang again with my friends aka band mate type people and create some music :) i'm diggin' it fo' sho'.

and i just got a call from a friend who is in photography school and asked if i would help out with one of her projects. well, there's not really much helping on my part, just me being in the picture. so, since i'm a ham, of coarse i said yes!! so, that should be fun.

whether or not your a gym-goer or not (i'm obviously not a hard core-goer, my soft center gives me away!) we all know the purpose - to get in there and work it!! i can't quite understand how the people talking on their cell phones or texting while "working out" are really getting the full effect. i mean, i see some of these ladies just strolling away on the treadmill while chit-chatting with whomever while i'm there sweating bullets going strong on my cardio machine. maybe its the poor person talking in me, but whats the point of spending the monthly amount if you're just going through the motions? like i said, i am absolutly in no way some sort of body builder but darn-it i'm gonna get my monthly fee outta that gym!!

this rant was brought on by seeing at least two people last night chatting it up and texting away whilst doing cardio and pumping their iron.

stress free, music and mother's day

This weekend has seemed to be pretty good :) I think i'm getting such much needed rest. I've been having some chest pains over the passed couple of weeks, and i'm pretty positive its due to stress.

last night was pretty rad! my friends and i hung out to create some music. our goal is just write and record - not to play out. which is strange considering i've been preforming for many years, but i think i'm going to enjoy this new road i'm taking. we were able to lay some scratch tracks down of one song and get another song written/arranged. i'm looking forward to seeing the final result of the songs. it's a ways off still, but i really think it's going to be good - and i can't wait to share.

on another note, today is mother's day. pretty much the whole family is getting together and have a little cook-out style lunch/dinner. it'll be nice. we haven't gotten together since the passing of my papaw. which has only been a month ago, but it seems like foreve now.

cops and paint

alas! excitement in the last couple of days!

yesterday morning, i woke up with only 15 mins to shower, make/eat breakfast pack lunch and take out the trash. instead of calling to let my boss know i'd be a little late.. i decided that i'd just make up the time i 'wasted' while sleeping, in speed. needless to say, it wasn't the smartest move and i gots myself some tickets.

it was my first time being pulled over. although i didn't cry (which surpised to poop outta me) i was awfully nervous. so nervous that i couldn't pull the driver's licesense out of my wallet. i was shaking so bad!!! we were there for several mins trying to get my DL out, but i couldn't get it so finally he just looked at it and didn't take it back to his car. (GEEZ!!)

so that was yesterday.

today at work i wrapped up a little early and left! went over to walmart and hit up the craft section picking out the cheapest of the cheap paints and a little canvas and decided i was going to paint the frustration of the new ticket bills (amongst others) away. i painted a little birdy. the colors are off in this photo b/c of the web cam i used (and its current settings) the bg is red and the birdy is bright blue.

yeah, its not picasso or anything, but its the best of my abilities. i may suck at a lot of things, but if i'm having fun and enjoying it.. it doesn't matter. :)

my tuesday night

my boyfriend and i went to the radiohead show last night. it was really awesome. some people may gasp when i say i didn't know a buttload of radiohead, but the albums i do have, i really enjoy. but with saying that, their show really did keep my attention.. even with not knowing every song that was played. :)

wow... that was my big thing and all i had was that little splurge about it? hmm.. welp, i just don't know what to do.. guess i'll end this posting before i began to bore anyone :D

odds and ends

my lack of posting is not due to such a busy schedule. although, i should just go with that reason so i can act like i have something cool going on. but then you'd wonder why my posts were so boring :)

since my last post on tuesday, my days have really consisted of working, sleep and drive time in between. nothing amazing has happened. i have made a couple of videos and have another that i need to edit. i really enjoy being silly on camera and editing... i just wish my imagination flowed as much as it did when i was younger. i guess in my elder years i'm becoming rusty. :)

oh! (random thought) one thing i did want to post about are those smart cars! anyone see them? oh my goodness, i passed by one yesterday and it was soo cute! what are they, like a beefed up golf cart?

i am really looking forward to my vacation back home! it's only about 2 1/2 weeks away!! i'm going to have such a wonderful time, and this break is much needed!
